We removed the old, deteriorated backyard deck in Kensington, Brooklyn, NYC, and rebuilt the space from the ground up. Our team installed a new pressure-treated wood framing system to support a durable, low-maintenance Trex Rocky Harbor composite deck. As part of our standard practice, we protected the new pressure-treated joists with Trex joist tape to enhance moisture resistance and extend the lifespan of the structure. To enhance functionality, we custom-built a multi-purpose seating bench wall using matching Trex Rocky Harbor deck boards. This feature provides comfortable built-in seating while also serving as a decorative gardening wall. We replaced the outdated white lattice with a matching deck-color lattice for a cohesive, modern look. Additionally, we installed new cedar base skirts around the existing fence posts to refresh and protect the structure. The result is a beautiful, low-maintenance backyard deck designed for both relaxation and long-term durability.
